“The world offers itself to your imagination…”

Wild Geese - Mary Oliver

I’m Andy Schwartz — a cinematographer, director, photographer, and writer based on the East Coast.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked across documentary, narrative, branded content, and editorial — directing films, operating camera and Steadicam, shaping visual language, and collaborating with teams to build work that’s both precise and human. My clients have included Netflix, HBO, National Geographic, Under Armour, and independent producers across disciplines.

I work in motion and stills. I direct. I shoot. I write. Sometimes I lead a project end to end. Sometimes I join to help make someone else’s vision real. Wherever I’m working, I care about the process — how something’s made, who it’s made with, and what it’s trying to say.

Selected Work

Wild Geese comes from the Mary Oliver poem and refers to the motion of showing up, paying attention, and offering yourself through work, repetition and honesty to the world we are already a part of.
